The Dreaded MicroTeach

I’m studying to be a teacher, teaching grown ups. This week (and next- its a big class. lol) every student in my class had to give a mini lesson to the rest of the class.

Sounds scary doesn’t it? That’s because it is!

Everyone did really well and I certainly learned a thing or two. :-)

Anyway, my passion is cycling. I regularly undertake long rides usually between 30-50 miles and I’m aiming to increase that to 70 miles. So I decided to give my lesson on nutrition for athletes. As an activity I asked my students to design my tea the night before my club ride, my breakfast on the day, any snacks and my tea afterwards. Being the silly girl I am I also promised I would follow it and report back.

So here goes. I have four different menus so over the next four Saturdays you’re going to see for yourself if it works.

1st week:

Friday Tea:                   Lentils and Pasta. Piece of cake.

Saturday Breakfast:  Oats and Fruit.

Snacks:                           Dried fruit, cereal bar and banana.

Saturday Tea:              Beans, fish, egg and chocolate cake.

Wish me luck. :-)
